Joanne Marie Kostyo

Joanne Marie Kostyo, 96, of Terre Haute, passed away Monday, March 11, 2024 in her residence surrounded by her family.
Joanne was born December 30, 1927 in Terre Haute, to Joseph Attmore and Helen Heubel Attmore. She was the former co-owner of J.K. Bottling Company along with her husband, Joe Kostyo, who passed away April 3, 2008. She was a member of Hungarian Hall for over 60 years, and loved to read and work puzzles. She and her husband had enjoyed traveling throughout their lifetimes. Joanne was a wonderful mother and a good friend to many. She was a fantastic cook and will be remembered for her great sense of humor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Kostyo; a brother, Jim Attmore and his wife Virginia; a son, Frankie Joe Kostyo on September 11, 1965.
She is survived by one son, Steve Kostyo and his wife Trish of Terre Haute; nieces, Susan Mullin (Ralph), Kristy Harrison (Mike), Lori Attmore; nephews, John Sedletzeck, Richard Sedletzeck (Cherylene); as well as several great-nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Bill.
Service are at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47804. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Private burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. The family would like to thank Tracy Hoopingarner and her loving caregivers, as well as Gentiva Hospice for their kindness throughout this difficult time.
