Bruce William Allen Sr.

Bruce William Allen Sr., 66, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away January 29, 2018.  He was born April 15, 1951 in Terre Haute, Indiana to William J. Allen and Wilma Rose (Kisner) Allen.  Bruce is a member of Full Gospel Assembly of God.  He worked at Commercial Solvent for 28 years.  He retired from Tagleaf.  Bruce was a member of Haunted Happenings.  He volunteered at Terre Town Baseball field for over 30 years.  He served as a board member, he coached, and he cut grass. Most of all, Bruce loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was known for having witty comebacks, which will be missed by all who knew him.  Bruce is survived by his wife of 47 years Diane (Fry) Allen; his mother; sons Bruce William Allen Jr. (Tammy), Justin Allen (Paula); grandchildren Ernie Wycoff, Garth Trueblood, Faith Southard, Brilea Southard, and Grayson Allen; great grandchildren Madison Wycoff, Kinser Trueblood, and Owen Troxel; siblings David Allen, Joyce Shadow, and Nancy Knight (Darrell); father-in-law Earl Fry Sr., brother-in-law’s Earl Fry Jr. (Eva) and Rick Fry (Robin); and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his father; mother-in-law Edna Fry; and his K-9 companion Ginger. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 1:00p.m. at Northside Community Church, 1075 Fruitridge Avenue, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804.  Pastor Jared Parks will officiate.  Visitation will be at the church on Thursday, from 11:00a.m. until service time.  The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Full Gospel Assembly of God or Northside Community Church.
