Daren Adamson Obituary

Daren Layne Adamson left this world unexpectedly and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, March 19, 2018 at the age of 37. Daren was born on September 20, 1980 to David Layne and Kathy Ann Dickson Adamson.  He graduated from Terre Haute South Vigo High School in 1999 and wed his wonderful, loving wife Devon Eder on December 9th, 2000.  They were blessed with 2 children, Jacob Walter born July 9, 2006 and Sylvia Ann born June 8th, 2008. Daren is survived by his loving wife Devon Adamson, their 2 amazing children Jacob Walter and Sylvia Ann, his parents David Layne Adamson and Kathy Ann Adamson, sister Dana Lynn Adamson Aaron, niece Victoria Fern Aaron, nephews Noah Frederick Aaron and Engelend William Aaron, Maternal grandfather Aleck Dickson, and Mother-in-law Debra Garvey all of Terre Haute, IN, paternal grandmother Patricia (Del) Ford of Crossville TN, and grandparents-in-law Jerry & Francis Eder. Other family includes aunts and uncles Nola (Eric) Austin of Terre Haute IN, Susan Kirby of Crossville TN, Martha (Roger) Elmore of Terre Haute IN, Larry (Debra) Dickson of Marshall IL, Larry (Barbara) Adamson of Franklin TN, Jenni (Steve) Walker of Indianapolis IN, numerous cousins, great Aunts and Uncles, friends and a great church family! Daren was a dreamer. He will always be remembered for his smile, and the love he gave to God, to his family and to his massive church family. Daren loved to sing! You can’t remember Daren without thinking about his love for music and his amazing singing voice. Daren held a wide variety of jobs throughout his lifetime, from a licensed security broker, to forming his own trucking company, to forming and operating his own home improvement business.  But his jobs didn’t define him. First and foremost he was an amazing man of God! Whatever he did he found a way to do it to the glory of God!  His love for God will be remembered by all that knew him and those he touched in this world. Daren was a member of the Lord’s family that meets at the Eastside church of Christ. One of Daren’s greatest joys had to do with sharing his faith, being with his family and helping those around him. There were many ministries that Daren was involved with throughout his life including time as a minister, doing outreach, and more recently his active involvement with the jail ministry and with the Aim 4 Christ ministry that he had recently begun. The visitation will be held at Greiner Funeral Home at 2005 N 13th St. on Friday March 23, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday March 24, 2018 at 12:00 pm with additional visitation starting at 11:00am at Eastside Church of Christ 4025 College Ave with graveside service to follow at Roselawn Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the “Aim 4 Christ” ministry at 1518 S Center St, Terre Haute IN 47802
