Donald “Don” Manfred Holycross, 66, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away August 19, 2018. He was born in Germany on November 2, 1951 to William A Holycross Sr. and Elli (Bierwagen) Holycross. Don served 20 proud years in the United States Marine Corps.(Semper Fi), retiring as a Staff Sergeant. He served in the Vietnam War. He loved his country. He was a Marine through and through. Don worked and retired from the 3M facility in Corona, Ca. He also drove Semi Trucks for Schneider Trucking Company. He was a loving Husband,Dad,Gpy,Papa,Brother and Uncle. He had a heart of gold and would do anything and everything he could for all he knew and loved. Don was preceded in death by his parents William and Elli Holycross;son Daniel Holycross; and brother Gary Holycross. Father in Law Manuel Medrano and brother in law Angel Medrano. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 33years Rachel (Rae) Holycross; children Donald Holycross Jr.(Autumn), April McColl (Scott), and Julie McDaniel; grandchildren Joshua, Darick, Devin, Adriana (Chris), Aaron (Marissa), Jarrett, Kiarah, and Hailee; great grandchildren Serenitee, Gabriel, Aaron, Giovanni, and Isaiah; siblings Harold “Dusty” Holycross (Jean), William “Bill”Holycross (Julie), Susan Fox (Larry), Karen Holycross, Beverly Mills(Bubba); Mother in Law Margarita Medrano; Siblings by marriage Manny Medrano (Ala),David Medrano, Pastor Johnnie Medrano(Martha), Tony Medrano(Olivia),Liz Sumner(Rick) and many nieces and nephews, and his dogs Desi and Lillee. He has been a proud member of New Life Fellowship for the past 8 years. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 11:00a.m. at New life Fellowship, 7849 Wabash Ave, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47803. Associated Minister Hutteger will officiate. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday, from 10:00a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Marion National Cemetery on Monday August 27, 2018 at 11:00a.m..
