Dorothy Jackman

Dorothy Jackman, 95, passed away on September 17th, 2019. She was born Feb. 20th, 1924 in Fort Wayne, IN to Earl and Mary Smith Hart. She retired after working many, many years with church daycares. She was a godly woman and a member of Cross Lane Community Church of Terre Haute. She was apart of TOPS in Terre Haute. She was an avid bingo player and loved swimming at the YMCA. She never passed up a yard sale. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially at the fourth of July cookout at the Morris’s every year. Her and her husband, Ed were frequent world travelers. They loved traveling around the country in their RV. One of her favorite vacation spots was Florida. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and siblings. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Ed; Son, Jim (Glenda); Daughter, JoAn; Grandkids Julieann, Paul, Ryan, Cameron; Great-Grandkids Kenna, Hunter, Caleb; several cousins and friends. A celebration of Life for Dorothy will be Sunday, September 22nd, 2019, at 3:30pm at Cross Lane Community Church, 2204 Lafayette Ave, Terre Haute, IN.
