Gary Bruce Murphy Sr.

Gary Bruce Murphy Sr., 72, of Terre Haute, passed away November 23, 2019.  He was born February 4, 1947 to Paul Richard Murphy and Ruby Smith Murphy in Terre Haute.  Gary was a veteran of the United States Army serving during Vietnam. Gary received the National Defense Service medal, the Vietnam Service medal, Vietnam Campaign medal.  He was a big time fan of the New York Yankees, Green Bay Packers, Boston Celtics, Indiana Hoosiers, and Notre Dame.  He worked for 15 years at MCL. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Paul Richard Murphy and Edward G. Murphy. 

Gary is survived by a son, Gary Bruce Murphy Jr. (Ellen) sisters; Donna Stevenson, and Kelly Corbin (Ted), grandchildren; Aidan, and Brady, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins and his dear friend, Rita. Also surviving is his cat, Kitty Momma.

Cremation was chosen with a memorial services scheduled on Saturday at 12 pm in the American Legion, 2690 Fort Harrison Road, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Terre Haute Humane Society. Online condolences can be made at www.greinerfuenralhome.com
