James Lee Edwards

James Lee Edwards, 76, of Greenwood, Indiana, passed away, May 26, 2019.  He was born, October 4, 1942, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to Joseph Arthur Edwards and Elizabeth Delsie (Wingler) Edwards Sancedio.  James was a 1960 graduate of Otter Creek High School.  He served in the United States Navy, from August of 1960 until August of 1963.  James retired as a train dispatcher from Canadian Pacific Railroad in Terre Haute, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 48 years, Patricia (Cartwright) Edwards, who passed away April 8, 2013; stepfather Johnnie Sacedio Sr; sisters Phyllis Jean (Edwards) Johnson and Elizabeth Ann (Edwards) Lingenfelser; and brother Larry Arthur Edwards.  James is survived by his sons Timothy Allen Edwards (Kimberly), Randy Craig Edwards (Angela); daughter Tricia Ann (Edwards) Williams (Kurt); grandchildren Craig Adam Edwards (Ashley Brown), Brian Allen Edwards, Elizabeth Danielle Edwards, Brody Marion Williams, Holly Anne Edwards, and Madelyn Brooke Williams.  A celebration of life will be on Friday, June 28, 2019 at 2:00p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre haute, Indiana 47804.  Visitation will be from 10:00a.m. until service time.  His daughter, Tricia Williams, will officiate.  Burial of James and Patricia’s cremains will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.  If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project.
