Jo Ann (Harrold) Hendricks

Jo Ann Hendricks, 85, of Terre Haute, passed away Thursday August 22, 2019 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. Jo Ann was born in Lewis, IN on February 19, 1934 to Ralph “Sam” Harrold and Charlotte “Peggy” Peters Harrold. She was a 1950 graduate of Blackhawk High School where she played in the band. She was a graduate of Terre Haute Commercial College and had worked for Hooks Drugs in the Indianapolis area and then for Quaker Maid and the Meis Department  Stores in Terre Haute. She and her husband enjoyed wintering in Florida for many years, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening especially her banana trees. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Jimmie Hendricks whom she married September 25, 1953, they enjoyed 66 years of marriage. She is survived by two sons; Marty Hendricks and his wife Abby of Terre Haute and Ken Hendricks and his wife Mary of Brownsburg, IN. She is survived by four grandchildren; Nick Hendricks, Samantha Hendricks, Ben Hendricks and Riley Hendricks. Services are Saturday August 24th, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN., 47804. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the Funeral Home. Pastor Rod Maris will be officiating. Burial will be at Stephens Cemetery in Lewis, IN. Holmes Memorial Chapel assisted with arrangements. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to The American Heart Association or The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home. The family will like to thank Cobblestone Health and Rehabilitation especially Jennifer for their kindness as well at Stacey and Katie and the entire staff at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
