John Lamb Obituary

John Lamb, 76, joined The Band of Angels on Thursday, January 24, 2019.  He was born in Princeton, Indiana and resided in Oakland City, Indiana through college.  He raised his family in Terre Haute, Indiana and lived in Celine, Ohio until the last 2 years.  John proudly served in the United States Army in Korea. He was a member of the Wabash Valley Hall of Fame.  Loved by everyone he met and had a heart of gold.  He was a professional musician playing keyboards and vocals with several groups including The Jimmy Dye Band (Club Idaho), The Van Dells and as a solo/duo across the U.S.  He also wrote, produced, performed commercial jingles in Ohio.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John P. and Beulah Lamb, and an aunt, Emilou (George) Hooven.  He is survived by his brother, David (Margaret) Lamb and family, sons; Ian, John, and Mike Lamb, daughter, Mindy (Paul) Gher and children, Barbara Lamb, and grandson, and love of his life Paxton Lamb.  Services for John will be Friday February 1, 2019 in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804 at 7 pm.  Visitation is scheduled from 5 pm until service time at the funeral home on Friday.  Military Honors will be performed by the American Legion of Brazil.  Pastor Larry Spear will officiate.  Online condolences can be made at www.greinerfuneralhome.com
