Judith (Judy) Marie VanGilder passed away peacefuly at IU Health in Indianapolis, IN on March 14th 2018. She was born on November 26th, 1944 in Terre Haute, IN to Joseph Bradbury and Edythe Brown Westerfield. Judy was a Teacher's Aid at Chauncey Rose Middle School. She enjoyed working and helping the students. She was always happy to work after school activities as she was able to reconnect with everyone. Judy was a majority member of Job's Daughters Bethel #2. She was a past Matron of Terre Haute 43, Order of Eastern Star. Judy loved to crochet, doodle, read, work on genealogy, and spend time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 35 years Alfred Van Gilder. She is survived by her daughter Victoria Barnett and her husband Todd, son Alfred VanGilder II and his wife Zina; five grandchildren Nichole Van Gilder and her fiance Terry Blaine, Andrea Marshall, Julie Casad and her husband Eric, Anthony Barnett, Alfred Van Gilder IV; all of Terre Haute; four great-grandchildren Nicholas and Collin Casad, Dylan and Dylanee Marshall; several brother-in-laws, sister-in laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins who were very special to her. Judy was a loving daughter, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother. We love you and you will be with us everyday. A celebration of life will be held at a later date and time.
