Leroy Ziba Zigler

Leroy Z. Zigler, born April 16, 1930, died December 29, 2019 in his home. He was the son of Lewis Zigler and Jessie Marie Jones Zigler. He was born and raised in Terre Haute.
He was a business owner and his masonry legacy is embedded so deeply in his hometown that a picture of him laying blocks is featured in a book about Terre Haute's history. His work can be seen in many private residences and commercial buildings.
He married Mary Lou Bartlett on Friday, June 13, 1947. Together they raised six children. Their family blossomed to 22 grandchildren, and 45 great-grandchildren with more on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Lou; and son, Brian. Also preceding him were his brother, Kenneth; and sisters, Wilma Jean, Norma, Irene, and Mary Ellen. Leroy leaves behind children, Janie (Steve) Riggs, Judy (Jim) Hooper, Rick (Cheryl) Zigler, Jeanette (Jim) Duffy, and Cindy (Brad) McClain; and daughter-in-law, Yvonne Malooley Zigler. Also, his grandchildren, Shelly Riggs James, Gina Riggs Hauersperger, Christopher Willis, Cassie Willis Bowden, Sam Hooper, Bob Hooper, Tamica Hooper Anderson, Ricky Zigler, Ryan Zigler, Callie Zigler Shuford, Crystal Zigler Leyda, Danielle Duffy McMurray, Jimmy Duffy, Derrick Duffy, Dustin Zigler, David Zigler, Brian Zigler, Lacey Zigler Page, Amber Wetnight Tindal, Joey Wetnight, Brian Benjamin, and Micha Benjamin Busenbark.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, January 3, 2019 at 1 pm in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47804. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11 am until service time on Friday. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. The family gives a special thank-you to all the precious people from Heart to Heart Hospice, Area 7 Agency on Aging, and Visiting Angels.
