Linda B (Ingalsbe) Day

Linda B. Day, 88, of Terre Haute, passed away January 10, 2020 in Springhill Village.  She was born May 26, 1931 in Carlinville, Illinois to Spencer T Ingalsbe and Annie Elizabeth “Betty” Laxton Ingalsbe.  Linda worked and retired from Roots Department Store, first starting at the downtown location in the early 1970s.  Linda was a breast cancer survivor and participated in Camp Blue Bird.  She loved to read, a hobby she instilled in her granddaughters.  She enjoyed working on word puzzles.  She loved music, and enjoyed listening to the radio. 

Linda was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her sons; Roy Day (Marsha), and Harold Day, sister, Nancy Hale (Ellis), granddaughters; Michelle Newsom (Tom), Leanne Collins (Fred), and Erica McCloud (Matt), along with 6 great grandchildren; Trenton (Kat), Brady, Brinlee, Emalee, Ryan, and Isabel, and a host of loving extended family members.

Cremation was chosen with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.  Care and arrangements were entrusted to Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804. Online condolences can be made at www.greinerfuneralhome.com
