Linda Lee (Howard) Sharp, 70, passed away after a long battle of necrosis after a tumor was removed in 2013. She was born May 31st, 1948 at Union Hospital, in Terre Haute, to Melvin Ray and Betty Lou Layton Howard. Linda was the eldest of five children. She graduated from Garfield High School with the class of 1966. She married Dennis on June 2, 1967 and together they have two sons and daughters-in-law and two grandsons, Aaron (Valerie) Samuel and Ethan of Pekin, Illinois, and Craig (Nicole) of Terre Haute. Linda worked several different jobs while moving around with Dennis, from bank teller with Old National, computer lab at Leavenworth, Kansas, school aide at Baraboo, Wisconsin, and secretary at a special needs home in Pekin, Illinois, before moving back to Terre Haute in 2000. Most of all she was a dedicated homemaker, mother, and partner. Linda enjoyed camping and traveling with their sons and special friends Jim and Sue Pollitt, John and Marilyn Baker, Stephen and Sandy Howard. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, and shopping with her mom before the necrosis set in. She was preceded in death by her father Melvin (I‘m sure they’ll get together), grandparents, father and mother in law John and Kathryn Sharp. She’s survived by her husband Dennis, mother Betty, brothers Mike (Barbara) of Gilbert, Arizona, Stephen (Sandy) of West Terre Haute, sisters Sharon (Gary) Shull of Clinton, Indiana, Terry Kremitzki of Oakland, Ill, brother in law and sister in law Steve and Becky Sharp of Clinton and several fantastic nieces, nephews, and cousins. She wanted to thank Jim and Sharon Huff for calling and coming out often to see how she was doing. Linda and Dennis attend Emmanuel Methodist Church on HWY 150 in West Terre Haute. Funeral services for Linda will be at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804, on Tuesday September 18, 2018 at 5 pm. Visitation will be from 2 pm to 5 pm. Rev.
