Margaret Ann (Smith) Lemont

Margaret Ann Lemont, 84, passed away April 3, 2018 in her home.  She was born May 16, 1933 to Harry and Mary Ann Smith in Terre Haute.  She worked for many years as the Vigo County chief deputy auditor. Margaret was also the Terre Haute city controller under Mayor Judy Anderson.  She was the owner and operator of several small business including Laminated Tops, and Lemont Construction.  She married Paul Lemont in June 13, 1952, and was a member of Cross Tabernacle Church.  She is preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Harry Smith Jr.  She is survived her son, Paul E. Lemont and his wife Kathleen, a daughter, Denise Brokaw-Helms, grandkids; Trey Brokaw, Trevor Helms, Melita Buck and her husband Matt, Paul E. Lemont Jr. and his wife Rachel,  Drew Lemont and Dylon Lemont, as well as two great grandchildren.
