Mary Louise Daily, 96, of The Woodlands Texas and formerly of Terre Haute passed away at 5:45 AM Sunday February 25, 2018 in The Woodlands, Texas. She was born on August 1, 1921 in Terre Haute, Indiana, the daughter of Harold and Anna Kruzan.
She was retired from Schultz’s where she worked for 45 years. She bartended at TeePee tavern in her spare time for several years.
She was a 36 year active member in the Beta Sigma Phi sorority chapter since 1981 receiving membership at large status, a member of the Laureate Gamma Eta in Terre Haute, and Delta Rho Master in The Woodlands, TX.
She was a past madam president and member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles since 1975, a member of the American Legion women’s auxiliary with the Kriestenstein Post 104, a life member of the Ladies auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a member of the Marine Corps League Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children Billy Modesitt and his wife Pauletta Modesitt of Kentucky, Pamela King and her husband William of Texas, grandchildren Scott Modesitt and his wife Christy of Washington, Stacie Schmidt and her husband Kelly of Kentucky, Ryan King of Texas and Neal King and his wife Michaela of Texas, great grandchildren, Mara Engstrom, Caleb Engstrom, Megan Modesitt, Chelsea Modesitt, Colby King, Brady King, Tyler King, and Greyson King. She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Anna Kruzan, her son, Donald L. Modesitt, her first husband Billy B. Modesitt and her second husband Walter T. Daily.
Services for Mary will be Saturday March 10, 2018 at 1 pm in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804. Visitation is scheduled for 11 am to service time at the funeral home on Saturday. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Mary L.
