Michael Dee Gross Sr., 71, passed away March 23, 2019 in the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care. He was born April 3, 1947 in Clinton, Indiana to Louis P. and Mary A. Shackles Gross. He worked and retired as a heavy equipment operator for White Construction for over 30 years. He helped a lot of people, whenever someone was in need, he would be there to lend a hand. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Gross (m.1/17/1986), sons; Michael D. Gross Jr. (Robin), Wayne D. Kearschner, Billy Joe Kearschner (Beverly), and Joshua Harrison (Becca), daughters; Dorothy C. Kearschner (Bill), Rhonda Hartschen (Roy), Rebecca Pine, Kimberly Wessel (Steve), a brother, Charles Gross (Linda), a sister, Alvora Henson, 27 grandchildren, and 32 great grandchildren. Services for Michael will be Sunday March 31, 2019 at 1 pm in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804. Visitation will be from 11 am until service time at the funeral home on Sunday. Pastor Larry Spear will officiate. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.
