Rexferd Swalls

Rexferd Swalls, 84, of Terre Haute, passed away Monday November 11, 2019 in his residence surrounded by his family. Rex was born October 23, 1935 in Vigo County Indiana to Charles Vern “Jake” Swalls and Lela Stephens Swalls. He was retired from ALCAN and was a member of Farmers Chapel Church. He was a graduate of Fontanet High School, he was a member of Pimento Masonic Lodge #292 and The Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute. He was a member of the Quarter Horse Association and enjoyed vacationing with his family in Florida. Rex was preceded in death by his parents and brothers and sisters; Vern Swalls, Wayne Swalls, Myrtle Swalls, Joe Swalls, Ruby Philabaum and Barbara Jones. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Cunning Swalls of Terre Haute and one son, Chad Swalls also of Terre Haute. He is survived by one brother, Gene Swalls and his wife Mary Jo of Brazil, IN and a sister, Shirley Barnes of Texas. He is survived by a brother in-law and sister in-law, Gary and Darlene Cunning of Terre Haute. He is survived by one grandson, Warren “Ren” Swalls and several nieces and nephews. Cremation was chosen with no services planned. Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47804 was entrusted with arrangements.
