Sandra J Purdy

Sandra J. Purdy, 76, of Terre Haute, passed away Friday February 2, 2018 at Meadows Manor East. Sandra was born July 28, 1941 in Terre Haute to William Deighton and Norma Slavens Deighton. Sandra was a member of The First Church of the Nazarene in Terre Haute and was retired from the banking industry in Linton Indiana, she was a homemaker and loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with each and every one of them. She is survived by her husband, Samuel Purdy of Terre Haute whom she married January 1, 1997. She is survived by one son, Steve Beard and his wife Annette of Terre Haute and a daughter Debra Beard also of Terre Haute. She is survived by two step daughters; Karen Ross and her husband Mark of Terre Haute and Barbara Beel and her husband Paul also of Terre Haute. She is survived by one brother, Thomas Deighton and his wife Tess of Brentwood, CA., and a sister Mary Deighton of Kemper, TX. She is also survived by an uncle, John Slavens and his wife Janet of Lafayette, IN. She is survived by fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren as well as one niece and one nephew.  Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday February 6, 2018 at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN., 47804. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday February 5, 2018 and from noon until service time on Tuesday. Rev. Mark Fleschner and Rev. Larry Mathias will be officiating.
