Shirley "Sam" Ann (Dabbs) Mann

Shirley “Sam” Ann Mann, 81, passed away September 4, 2019 in Clinton Gardens.  She was born March 24, 1938 to Harrison “Harry” E. Dabbs and Carrie Carpenter Dabbs.  Sam worked several places throughout her life, her last job was working with her son, Jay, at Jay’s Service Center. She loved working there and meeting the new customers.  She never had a bad thing to say about anyone, she would always find something nice about everyone.  She loved visiting with new friends and old.  She enjoyed painting and drawing, most notable were her farm scenes.  She was a survivor of breast cancer.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter, Heather Taylor, great grandsons; Matthew Lewis and Harrison Lewis, and a great granddaughter, Brileigh Taylor.

She is survived by her children, Kim Taylor (Tim), Harry Eversole (Amber), Jay Eversole (Holly Renn), Troy Mann (Andrea) and Thad Mann (Sherri), brother, Jim Shurtzer, sisters; Marion Payne (Rich), Tanya Sharp (Jim), and Nancy Dabbs, along with an extremely large extended family that includes and abundant amount of grandkids, great grandkids, and great great grandkids.

Services for Sam will be Monday September 9, 2019 at 1 pm in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804. Visitation is scheduled from 11 am until service time. Pastor Jim Thurston will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery.
