Sue Ann Ripple Orlando, 86, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019. She was born on December 31, 1932 to George Frederick Ripple and Clara Isabel Reeves Gess in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Sue Ann Ripple Orlando graduated from Gerstmeyer High School in 1951. She married the love of her life, Thomas Orlando and was happily married for 65 years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a homemaker and devoted her life to her children and grandchildren and serving in the Church as a librarian and a Sunday School teacher. She was a former member of the Purdue Extension Choral Club and loved singing in the church choir. She enjoyed traveling and she was also a creative artist in her life, enjoying painting and decorating cakes for her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas Orlando, her son, Keith Orlando, and great-granddaughter Kyleeanne Jenkins.
Sue Ann is survived by her son, Dennis Orlando, daughter Rhonda Hayes and husband Doug, daughter Lesia Kulp and husband Ben, daughter-in-law Luanne Orlando (all of Terre Haute); grandchildren, Clayton Orlando, Kendel Orlando, Brian Orlando, Suzzane Wood, Angela Frank, Joshua Kulp, Luke Kulp, Aaron Kulp, Leah Kulp, John Eldred, Lauren Eldred, Ann Eldred (Long) and several great-grandchildren.
We want to thank Heartland Hospice Services for their loving care for Sue Ann for two years.
Visitation with the family will begin on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 12pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints prior to the memorial service at 1pm at the church, 1645 N 6 1/2 St, Terre Haute, Indiana.
