Warren James Ferguson Jr., 95, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away May 9, 2018.  He was born August 23, 1923 to Warren James Ferguson Sr. and Esther (Frederick) Ferguson in St. Bernice, Indiana.  Warren was a faithful member of First Church of Nazarene for 78 years, being the longest living male member.  He was a member of the choir for decades and served on the board and many other positions in the church.  Warren, along with other men in the church, helped build the church on Fort Harrison Avenue.  He retired from PSI in 1986. Here is a man with a lifetime of achievements to the church, family, work, community, and hundreds of acquaintances who have called him “friend” thru 95 years.  This is the true meaning of a hero.  Warren was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Mary Jeanette Ferguson in 2009; and his parents.  He is survived by his children Jack Ferguson (Lynda), Julie Ferguson, and Jay Ferguson; grandchildren Christopher Ferguson, Kaycee Harris, Zoie Ferguson, Jennifer Condon, and Ben Smith; 3 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and sister Carolyn Ferguson.  Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 12:00p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804.  Pastor Mark Fleschner and Pastor Larry Mathias will officiate.  Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday, from 10:00a.m. until service time.  The family suggest that in lieu of flowers, donation may be made the First Church of Nazarene, 801 Fort Harrison Road, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804.  Online condolences may be made at www.greinerfuneralhome.com .
