William Lewis Sims Jarvis

William “Willy” Lewis Sims Jarvis, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away unexpectedly in his home on Tuesday, February 19, 2019. He was born October 15, 1983 to Douglas “Buddy” Jarvis Jr. and Margaret “Peggy” (Nasser) Rucker. He was taken too soon.

Whether it was mowing his cousin’s lawn, fixing his sister’s car, or running an errand for his mother, he showed his love by doing for others. He was a son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. A car-lover and avid fisherman and gamer, he passed on his passion for those things to his beloved nieces and nephews. They were his world. He taught them how to bait a hook and be patient while waiting for a fish to bite. He took them off-roading and taught even the littlest how to help him work on cars. He played video games with them and taught them how to be persistent to beat the bosses.

William was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Anna Nasser and Nancy Jarvis, as well as beloved aunts, Hermena Nasser, Esther Sharkey, and Paula Nasser. He is survived by his parents, Margaret Rucker and Douglas Jarvis Jr.; grandfather Doug Jarvis; his sisters, Marie Jarvis, Nancy Jarvis, Esther Jarvis; cousin and best friend, Nancy Nasser; and nieces and nephews, Marie Elayne Jarvis, Xavier Stonebraker, Asher Stonebraker, Ezra Stonebraker, Rebekkah Stonebraker, Julian Austin, Aiden Nasser-Fortin, Ethan Nasser-Fortin, and Georganna Nasser. He is also survived by his uncles and aunts; George (Carol) Nasser, Abe (Carole) Nasser, and Art (Cathy) Nasser; and countless cousins. He will be missed.
