William Robert "Bill" Stanford

William Robert “Bill” Stanford, 70, of Terre Haute passed away August 8, 2019 in his home.  He was born May 8, 1949 in Terre Haute to William Robert Stanford and Margaret O Sterman Stanford.  Bill was a farmer in Vigo County.  He loved hunting, especially raccoon hunting. He enjoyed going to auctions, and flea markets, and was known to bring home an animal or two from auction and get himself into a little bit of trouble.  Somehow he could fit cows, donkeys, pigs, and even dogs into his car and bring them home.  He loved his grandkids, and even helped raise some of his grandsons. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Rick Stanford.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Dianna Davis Stanford    (m. June 24, 1970), son, Steven Stanford (Nichole),  daughter, Dianna Fuller (Josh), brothers, Tim, Keith, and Kenneth Stanford, sisters, Wila Jean Christenberry (Fred) and Marge Stanford, grandkids, Heather, Violet, James, Justin, Rickie, Steven, William, Lacey, Angeleia, Tylor, Shyann, Jordan, and Aubree, 11 great grandchildren with 2 on the way, and special friends Al and Randy. 

Services for Bill will be Tuesday August 13, 2019 at 1 pm in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804. Visitation will be from 11 am until service time at the funeral home.  Online condolences can be made at www.greinerfuneralhome.com
