William "Bill" E Pitts

William E. “Bill” Pitts, 58, of Terre Haute, passed away March 24, 2018 in his residence. Bill was born March 16, 1960 in Park Forest South, IL., to Thomas J. Pitts Sr. and Ellen E. Pitts. Bill was a 1977 Graduate of Schulte High School which was the last graduating class of Schulte High School. Bill worked in construction most of his life, he was an avid outdoorsman especially enjoying hunting, fishing and working in his yard. Bill was preceded in death by his father, Thomas J. Pitts Sr., who passed away July 24, 2004. Bill is survived by three sons; Chris Bennett and his wife Christina of Osceola, IN., Randy Pitts of Terre Haute and Billy Pitts of of Oahi, Hawaii. He is survived by his mother, Ellen E. Pitts of Terre Haute, two brothers; Michael Pitts of Bloomington, IN.,  and Thomas J. Pitts Jr., and his wife Stephanie of Terre Haute. He is survived by an aunt, Bonnie Krooswyk of St. John, IN. He is survived by a nephew, Nicholas Pitts, a niece, Laura Pitts and special cousins  Mark Krooswyk and his wife Tara and Kristi Krooswyk as well as nine grandchildren. Services are Saturday March 31, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN., 47804. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Father Bernard La Montagne will be officiating.  Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to the St. Benedicts Catholic Church Soup Kitchen, envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
