Woodrow "Woody" Sam Nasser

Woodrow Sam Nasser “Woody”, 87, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away August 30, 2018 in his residence.  He was born on July 17, 1931 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Sam J. Nasser and Elvira (Luciani) Nasser.  Woody served stateside on USS LAKE CHAMPLAIN during Korea War in the United States Navy.  He was a local attorney for 40 years, owning Nasser Law Firm.  He was an avid writer, publishing his own book, and also writing poetry.  Woody was known as a jokester, and also a loving and caring father and grandfather.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his son Jon Richards; and siblings Salma Nasser and Delil Nasser.  He is survived by his children Woodrow Nasser II (Julie) and Stacy Basham (Scott); 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and sister Mary Thomas.  A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at 1:00p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804.  Visitation will be from 11:00a.m. until service time.
