Andrea Sue (Carson) Winemiller Summerlot

Andrea Sue Winemiller Summerlot, née Carson, 65, passed away Thursday, January 9th at her home in Terre Haute, IN.  Andi, affectionately called by her friends and family, was born March 21, 1959. Andi graduated from Terre Haute South Vigo High School in 1977.  She married F. Mark Winemiller in 1979  and traveled throughout Europe while Mark was in the military.  They adopted a son, Matthew, in 1989 then moved to Colorado. Later Andi and Matt moved back to Terre Haute to be with family.  Andi married Dave Summerlot with son John but was later divorced. Being a single mom with a son having cerebral palsy was a challenge in itself.  Matt was her pride and joy.  Andi had a position at The Arc of Vigo County where she took Matt to therapy as well as helping with other handicapped children. Andi’s world was crushed when Matt passed away in 2020. Andi is survived by her siblings RaJeanna Smith, Rebecca Sanders, Pamela Davis, Bryan Carson, Eva Roeschlein, Lisa Bailey, Raymond Carson II and John Carson.   Her siblings who have gone before are Mike Carson and Gary Carson – as well as her son Matthew Winemiller.Private memorial services will be held at West Lawn Cemetery in Farmersburg, IN on Thursday, January 16.
