Andy Talley

Andy Lee Talley, 54, of Terre Haute, unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday,
May 27, 2020 in New Orleans, LA. He was born in Terre Haute on May 19 th , 1966
to George Albert and Doris E. Wagner Talley.
On August 27 th, 1988, Andy married his soulmate, Misty Sankey Talley. Andy was a
custodian at West Vigo Middle School where he loved making sure that all the
staff and students were well cared for. He was a man who enjoyed doing many
things with his beloved wife. They loved to garden, bicycle, and go tubing on Lake
Michigan. He also had a love for history and was an avid train enthusiast. He
enjoyed collecting them and getting together with his other fellow train buffs.
Andy was preceded in death by his mother, Doris E. Wagner Talley; his brother-in-
law, Tim Sankey; and a close friend, Dale Hammond.
He is survived by his father, George Albert Talley; his adoring wife of 32 years,
Misty Sankey Talley; two sisters, Vicki Henson (Alfred) and Sandra Talley; three
sister-in law’s and three brother-in-law’s, Brenda Matherly (Ron), Lori Sankey,
Melody Sankey, Steve Sankey (Carla), Terry Sankey, and Donald Sankey (Helen);
his friend, Tony LaClerq; and his best friend, Bob Swan. Andy is also survived and
will be loved and missed by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews,
and even great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Wednesday June 3 rd , 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at
Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13 th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47804. Graveside
Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Highland Lawn Cemetery. Pastor Billy Joe
