Anita Miller

Anita Gale Miller, 81, of West Terre Haute, passed away Saturday June 19, 2021 in her residence surrounded by her family. Anita was born on May 24, 1940 in Terre Haute at Forth and Ohio Street above the Bicycle Shop, to Fred L. Miller and Mary Ethel Worrell Miller. Anita was very faithful to the Lord and never questioned her faith. Anita had been members and attended Patton Church, World Gospel, Sugar Grove Free Methodist and was presently a member of Christ United Methodist Church in West Terre Haute. Anita loved to collect Angels and surrounded herself with them in her home as well as giving them as gifts to her family and friends. She loved talking with people and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a longtime volunteer at Helping Hands in West Terre Haute. She was a lifelong student of the Bible and had taught Sunday School for over 60 years. Anita retired from the Book Store at Indiana State University as Head Cashier and Bookkeeper after 27 Years. Before working at Indiana State she had been a beautician and had worked in her families business. Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Fred L. Miller and Mary Worrell Miller, she was also preceded in death by two sisters; Betty Hyde and Marilyn Slater. She is survived by one brother, Fred “Butch” Miller (Carol) of Terre Haute, two sisters; Carolyn Sue Dispennett (Bob) of Clinton and her twin sister, Jaunita (John) Laing of West Terre Haute. Services are Friday June 25, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47804. Visitation will be on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the Funeral Home. Pastor Ed Gaddish will be officiating. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers the contributions be made to Helping Hands in West Terre Haute or Christ United Methodist Church, envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
