Arthur Neil DeBow Jr.

Arthur N. DeBow Jr. was born November 5, 1938 to Arthur N. DeBow Sr. and Aretta (Newcomb) DeBow in Terre Haute, Indiana.  Art was a 1958 graduate of Gerstmeyer Technical High School, where he was the 1957 Indiana High School State Track and Field 440 yard dash Champion.  Art was employed with Alcan Aluminum Company, he retired after 45 years of service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Art was a dedicated Los Angeles Lakers fan.  He enjoyed NASCAR and collecting sports memorabilia.  Art was preceded in death by his parents; his son Jeffery N. DeBow, his brother Robert L. Joyner Sr., and his nephew Michael D. Joyner.  Arthur is survived by his wife Clister K.( Poston) DeBow; daughter Tela Ruth (Michael) of Indianapolis, Indiana; sons Arthur N. DeBow III (Carla) of Phoenix, Arizona, Michael DeBow (Elizabeth), Martin DeBow (Terresia) both of Terre Haute, Indiana, and Zachary DeBow (Tiffaney) of Avon, Indiana; sisters Debbie Hensel (Tom) of Park Forrest, Illinois, Pamela Taliaferro, Sherri Russell (Edward), both of Terre Haute, Indiana, Rhonda Grimes (Clifford) of Sugarland, Texas, and Renotta Martinez (Vincente’) of Indianapolis, Indiana; brother Pastor Clarence DeBow of Terre Haute, Indiana; two special sisters Martha Joyner and Betty Hatfield both of Terre Haute, Indiana; 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; special niece Cindy Smith, nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.  Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, January 30, 2021, at 12:00p.m., in Greiner Funeral Home.  Rev. Michael Russell will officiate.  Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
