Barbara Bruner Obituary

Barbara Ann Bruner, 80, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away May 18, 2021 in Meadows Manor East.  She was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on June 9, 1940 to Harold Bruner and Carrie Bruner.  She graduated from Gerstmeyer High School in 1958 and went to work at Terre Haute Savings Bank 2 days after on June 12, 1958.  She began as a messenger and then trained as a teller.  She also had worked in the Department of Proof, Bookkeeping, and Loans.  She was promoted to a Bank Officer in 1991 and was currently the Vice President of Loan Servicing.  She retired on December 31, 2020 after 62 years.  She is survived by her sister Darlene Bruner; uncles Paul Bruner and Gerald Bruner; and several cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Wabash Valley, 400 8th Ave, Terre Haute, Indiana 47804. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at 1:00p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home.  Pastor Bart Cowell will officiate.  Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 11:00a.m. until service time.
