Barbara Marie Jones, age 84, passed away peacefully at home on October 4, 2025, following a long battle with dementia. Born on April 16, 1941, in T.H., Indiana, Barbara was the beloved daughter of Robert W. Davis and Gladys M. (Brock) Davis.

She graduated from Blackhawk High School in 1959 and later married her lifelong partner, William Thomas Jones, on November 7, 1965. Together, they built a life grounded in love, respect, and family.

Barbara is survived by her children: William Timothy Jones; Anthony R. and Elaine Jones; and Terry W. Jones. Her pride and joy extended to her grandchildren — Kristina & Sean Robinson, Jacob & Brittany Jones, Elise Jones, Allison Jones — and her great‑grandchildren, Amberleigh Robinson and S.J. Robinson and Mavis Jones.

She was predeceased by her siblings -Robert L. Davis, Ida Gallagher, Roy “Bud” Davis, and Ralph Davis. She is remembered fondly by sister‑in‑laws Marilyn Davis and Claudia “Jo” Davis, Betty Russell and Tammy Jones and brother-in-law Robert Jones.

Barbara’s life was filled with creative pursuits and a love for community and God. She delighted in candlemaking, ceramics, reading, cooking, singing, and gardening. She also cherished her time working as a Teacher’s Assistant at West Vigo Middle School and Terre Town Elementary — roles she often spoke of with fondness and pride.

Those who knew Barbara remember her warmth, her genuine care for others, and the many ways she gave of herself: as a mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 1:00p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.  Visitation will be on Tuesday, at the funeral home, from 11:00a.m. until service time. 

She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
