Beth Hyde Obituary

Beth Hyde passed away peacefully, in her home, on April 17th 2025. She was born February 11, 1957, to Norma and Harry Bridgewater.

She was a loving caregiver, mother of three, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was also a teacher of special needs children for years before retiring to care for her daughter, Amy Schultz.

Beth was proceeded in death by her loving husband Stanley Hyde; sister Leila; and her three daughters Aprils Dunbar-Schultz, Amy Schultz, and Candace Schultz. She built a life of love and boundless warmth, with a love for God and her faith. She showered everyone she encountered with that same love that Jesus had. She was very well known for her generous spirit and caring soul that she poured into everyone.

Beth enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She formed a very special bond with her first grandchild April Joy, who referred to Beth as her “Honey”. She always had an open heart and listening ear for anyone who needed it and was always sure to check on her closest friends and family with loving texts and calls.

She is survived by her sister Harriet; grandchildren Jazmine Allen, Lexus Dunbar, Lashe’ Dunbar and Ally Little; also she was a proud great grand grandmother of April, Jason, and Shiloh who will forever carry that same love she poured into them.

Beth got to spend her last days in the comfort of her home where she was surrounded with family and loving friends. She was always everyone’s grandma and treated everyone like they were family. Beth’s life was a testament of love, generosity, and devotion. Even though she has left this world, her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to come into contact with her. Beth was the epitome of strength and resilience.

Beth will have a celebration of life to be announced by her granddaughters.
