Billy Lee Foster Jr. passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana at St. Vincent Hospital after a courageous battle with heart disease. Bill was born on April 6, 1960, in Terre Haute, Indiana to his parents Billy Lee Foster Sr. and Marilyn Sue Foster. He was the eldest of two children. He grew up in Terre Haute and graduated from South Vigo High School in 1978.
Bill met his sweetheart, Wendy Jo Runkle, on September 17, 2008, and they were married on May 29, 2010, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. They lived in a beautiful lakefront home in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Bill loved life. His many hobbies included fishing, golfing, gardening, enjoying the great outdoors, and birdwatching. Fishing was a special bond he shared with his children and stepchildren. Hummingbirds trusted Bill so much that they would follow him around when he was outside. They would even get in his face if the feeders were empty.
He loved music, especially the 70s rock and roll era. Pink Floyd was his favorite. He had two special cats named Twister and Axl who were his little buddies. Bill was so kind and gentle to everyone. All of his friends commented on how he could take the worst situation and make you feel better about it. He was honest and trustworthy. Professionally, Bill worked for many years as an outside salesman with NAPA and O’Reilly Auto Parts. Most recently, he served as Parts Manager at Adams Auto, working alongside his best friend, Andy Adams. He was also very giving, helping anyone in need. He loved his family with all of his heart.
Bill was a wonderful Husband, Son, Father, and Pappy. We all love Bill so much. He will be greatly missed. Bill was a believer in Jesus Christ, and we know we will see him again.
