Brenda Eveline Spear, 80, of Terre Haute, Indiana, went to be with Jesus, August 10, 2022 at Gibson Hospice Center, with her loving husband by her side. She was born October 12, 1941, in Alva, Kentucky to Oscar and Effie Sexton. Brenda was an accomplished seamstress. She was a member of New Hope Fellowship Church, where she played the piano. Brenda was thoughtful. She always remembered her loved ones birthdays and anniversaries with a card and a note. Even when she was not feeling well in her final days, she had cards ready to go out in the mail, and reminded her husband to send them out. She was a loving supportive wife and mother. She took care of her family while her husband served in the Air Force and also during many moves throughout the country. She was the glue that held her family together. She was known for her great cooking, even though it was not her favorite thing to do. Brenda had a green thumb, and took care of many houseplants and outdoors. One of her favorite things to do, was watching deer come in her yard in the evening time. Brenda leaves behind her husband of 59 years, Larry R. Spear; their two daughters Lynnelle Combs (John) and Michele Tinnin (Matt); grandsons Joshua Combs, Aaron Combs (Claire), Taylor Herring (Chelsea); 2 step grandsons; 5 step great grandsons; brothers Paul Sexton and Terry Sexton; brother-in-law John Apol; several nieces, nephews, and also cousins.
