Brenda Joy Vest

Brenda Joy Vest, 63, passed away February 24, 2020 in the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care.  She was born July 10, 1956 to Joseph and Beverly Whitford Cummins in Lafayette, Indiana.  She worked for Comfort Keepers in Terre Haute. She married Michael Vest in July 23, 2005. She was a past member of the Eagles.  She loved being a grandma, and always talked about her grandbabies.  She was an excellent cook, beef and noodles were her specialty. The rolls she made were as big as softballs and so delicious.  She also made fried green tomatoes that were sliced so thin, they tasted amazing.  She was a big fan of the show The Walking Dead. She loved everything to do with teddy bears. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Faith Hope Frey, and a brother, Jimmy Joe Cummins.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Michael Vest, sons; Nathen Frey, Jacob Frey, Joe Vest, and Scott Vest, brothers; Ronny, Raymond, Donny, Kenny, and Bobby Cummins, and sisters; Lisa Cummins and Lori Brown, 14 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

Memorial services for Brenda will be Friday February 28, 2020 at 2 pm in The Sanctuary, Christ Temple Church,  2311 Locust St, Terre Haute, IN 47807. A gathering of friends and family will take place from 12 noon until service time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to offset funeral expenses.
