Catherine Louise Eberly

Catherine Louise Eberly, 68, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025, at Union Hospital’s Hospice Unit, surrounded by the care and comfort of a dedicated team and her family. 

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Catherine was the beloved daughter of the late Peter and Janice Priest. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who spent her life caring deeply for those she loved. Catherine worked for over 20 years at Columbian Home Products, where her reliability and kindness left a lasting impression on her colleagues.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Charity Johnson; her mother, Janice Phillips ; and her father, Peter Priest.

Catherine is survived by her loving husband, Bruce Eberly; her daughter, Kristen Eberly; and her cherished granddaughter, Olivia, who was the light of her life. She is also survived by her siblings Peter Priest (Yelena), Cynthia Priest; also her sister in law Patti Ohel. Her nieces and nephews include, David, April, Chris, Mindy, Lesley and Amy. 

Catherine had a deep appreciation for nature—particularly butterflies—and found joy in gardening each spring. She found beauty in the simple things and radiated warmth and love to all who knew her.

In keeping with her wishes, no services will be held. Her family honors this decision and celebrates her life privately.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the Hospice Unit at Union Hospital for their compassionate care during Catherine’s final days.
