Christopher William Collins, 55, died in his home in Terre Haute on May 27th, 2019.
Chris was born and raised in Columbus, Indiana. His life took him many places, from Texas to
Michigan. He spent the last 20 years of his life in the Wabash Valley. He worked as a
correctional officer in many jurisdictions before leaving the field due to disability. He loved
acting, singing, and painting. He also enjoyed computer games, dungeons and dragons, and
studying the Civil War.
Chris leaves behind his daughter, Amy (Collins) Lilly and her family of Fishers, IN; his son
Andrew Collins and his family of Indianapolis, IN; and his youngest son Anthony Collins and his
family, of Clinton, IN. Chris had four grandchildren: Eddie (4.5), Nikolas, (2.5) , Harper (1.5),
and Anna (1). He also leaves behind his sister, Rebecca (Collins) Huckaby, and her family of
Columbus, IN.
Chris was preceded in death by his brother, Rev. Donald R. Collins, Jr. of Colorado Springs and
his mother, Vickie J. Collins of Columbus, IN.
An open house style memorial will take place on Saturday, June 8th from 1-3PM at the First
Nazarene Church in Columbus, Indiana.
