Obituary

Dakota Lee Hart, aka (Kota Bear, CoCo), 28, passed away on April 6, 2023, went home to his heavenly Father. He was a loving, caring, gentle teddy bear and was always the light of the party. If there wasn’t one, he brightened the room and the day every time without failure. He enjoyed riding anything on 2 wheels and spending time with his family.

 Dakota was preceded in death by his sister, Sheena LouiseKay Hart, grandpas, John Jarvis, Melvin Goatee, James Chris Hollifield, grandmother Sue Hart, Aunts Lavana Bailey & Sara Sowers, and Uncle Dan Jarvis.

He was loved so very much and by so many; He is survived by his parents, Catina (Hart) and Patrick Jarvis & Cyril (Bo) Hart. His 7 brothers and 1 sister, Robert “Bobby” (Sierra), Austin, Corey (Cassie), Rusty, Nash, Christian, Isaac, & sister Courtney. He also leaves behind grandparents Trena & Steve Weger & Evelyn Jarvis, several nephews, Aunts, Uncles, and best friends (Michael), Debow (Terre Haute Street Depart), and Mike Anderson (retired Sheriff’s Deput.) 

Services will be held on April 17, 2023, at Greiner Funeral Home located on N. 13th Street in Terre Haute, Indiana, from 10 AM-2 PM. Following services, he will be laid to rest with his sister (Sheena) and grandfather (John) at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to the Dakota Lee Hart Benefit Fund at The Hometown Savings Bank, formerly Terre Haute Savings Bank, c/o Tabatha Hollifield. ​​​​
