Danny "Joe" Smith Jr.

Danny “Joe” Smith, Jr, age 25, was in a motorcycle accident on June 4 and tragically
passed away on June 7, 2019. Foremost, Joe was a dedicated husband to his wife
Rachael and loved his family. He was an electrician at Ketner & Sons and was a hard
worker who always made sure the job was done right. His smile was contagious and
he always knew how to fill a room with laughter with his endless jokes. He was a man
of integrity with the heart of a child, strong, pure, and full of wonder. He loved
playing video games, watching anime, reading, and anything that felt nostalgic. He
adored Gears of War, Banjo-Kazooie, Pokemon, Legend of Zelda, One Piece, Trigun,
Dragonball Z, and Godzilla. He was a loyal friend, and he always made time for them.
On December 8, 1993, Joe was born to Elizabeth Galloway and Danny Smith, Sr. In
2009, Joe met the love of his life, Rachael Sands, and married her in 2016. Joe would
be relieved to know his soulmate survived the accident. Joe leaves behind his sister,
Adrianna Smith, brother, Matthew Facemyer. Grandparents; Pauline Galloway, his
buddy Gene Thompson; Chuck, Jan Galloway; aunts/uncles/cousins; Jim Smith, David and Janine Smith, Bonnie, Dan
Füelle; Brandy, Mike, Jude, Silas Mattox; Elise Iocoangeli; Xoey, Savannah
Washington, Tiernan Fiddler; Kristi, Otis, Dakota, Cynthia, Tre Williams; Mike, Melanie Smith;
Denice Benefiel; Cindy Yocum; Mom/Dad-in-law; Jayna, Jason Sullivan; father and mother-in-law Dean, Tracie Sands.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 12, from 11-2pm, with service immediately
following, at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13 th Street. Burial at Highland Lawn
Cemetery, following service. Pastor Paul Carey will officiate.
