David Rice

David Rice, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on December 4, 2024, at the age of 66. Born in Aberdeen, South Dakota, but residing in Rosedale, Indiana, David’s life was marked by dedication, love, and a profound impact on those around him.

David Rice was born on December 31, 1957 to Stanley and Patricia Rice in Aberdeen, South Dakota. He grew up and attended school in Aberdeen and Watertown, South Dakota. Following his education, Dave worked at Control Data in Aberdeen for 10 years as an engineer before moving his family to Rosedale, Indiana where he worked as a supervisor at Sony DADC for 26 years, where he was known for his hard work and commitment. His colleagues remember him as a reliable and kind-hearted individual who always went the extra mile.

Grateful for having shared David’s life are his wife, Sherry, his son Brandon, daughters Jordan (Kenny) Deverick and Brittany (Frank) Cloyd, his brothers Jerry and Mike, sister Darla, 3 grandchildren Mia, Caden, and Myles, as well as nephew and several nieces. David was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Rice, in 2022.

David’s family and friends will forever remember him for his warmth, generosity, and the love he shared with everyone he met. He was loved beyond measure and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
