Deborah Mae Leturgez-Stevens, 68 of Lewis formerly of West Terre Haute went to be with our Heavenly Father on March 25, 2021, in her residence. She was born on November 2, 1952 to Gabriel Leturgez and Lena Mae Leturgez (Philpott). She was a 1972 West Vigo High School graduate. She worked 40+ years in health care at various nursing homes and in home care. She was a beacon of hope for troubled youth. Her door was always open to those in need. She was a patron of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Farmersburg, IN for many years where she ran the food pantry. She was a woman of many amazing qualities, but none amounted to the amount of time and love she dedicated to her children and grandchildren. Deborah never knew a stranger and was quick to feed anyone. She gave everything she had to everyone family, friend, or stranger. She loved to sing and where there was a dance floor, she was on it. She often had gatherings for her children and their friends while they were growing up. There were always 20-30 kids lined up asleep on her floor. She believed if they were not at her house they wouldn’t be protected and they all called her mom. She became a grandma at 38 years old. She quickly fell in love with the grandma roll. Her children joke that she never had McDonalds money until she became a grandma. She is proceeded in death by her parents; siblings, Wilma; Phyllis; Gabriella; Robert; Mike (Wife Mary); Paul and Larry; her children’s’ Father Rick Auler; Ex-Husband Tim Lynch; Son-in-Law Norman Tingley; two granddaughters (Heather and Heaven; and one grandson (Dustin). She is survived by her loving husband Joseph Thomas Stevens; two sons (Ricky Auler, wife Cathy and Darrell Auler, wife Kristie); two adopted sons (Rev. William Powell and Kevin Bailey, wife Jackie); two daughters (Debra Tingley, fiancé Karry and Patricia Ware, husband Eshon); two adopted daughters (Judy Bailey, fiancé Jahard and Tracey Kay, husband Andy); four siblings (Joseph Leturgez, wife Jeannie; Lowell Leturgez, wife Jeannie; Freddie Leturgez, wife Brenda; and Tony Leturgez, wife Pat); two Sister-in-Laws Mindy Cash Leturgez and Linda Leturgez, Twenty grandchildren (Tiffany; Matthew; Austin; Brittany (7 great grandchildren); Devin; Zachary; Melissa and Amanda; Jewell; Makayla; Cordell; Ian; Cayden; AnnMarie; Solie; Cole; Cameron; Jordan; Jayden; and Javion.
