Donald Moats Obituary

Donald Eugene Moats, 78, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away September 18, 2019. He was born May 10, 1941, in Detroit Michigan, to Opia Omar Moats and Buena Vista (Arbaugh) Moats. Donald retired in management from Cinergy PSI after 31 years of employment. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Indiana University basketball fan. Donald was preceded in death by his wife Ida Moats, his parents, and his brother Ronnie Moats. He is survived by his son Kevin Moats, and his wife Donna; daughters Kristina Moats, Kathleen Moats-Lee and her husband Jeff; grandchildren Taylor Moats, Kayla Moats, Jacob Moats, and Sebastian Moats; brother Rickey Moats of Whiteland, Indiana; sister Phyllis Craven of MaComb, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews. Private family services are scheduled. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. The family would like to thank Dr. Dalloul, Dr. Jabbour, Dr. Koj, Dr. Gera, Dr. Dultz, Southwood Healthcare, and Hospice of the Wabash Valley, especially Linda and Bonnie, for the care Donald received. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to Griffin Bike Park or The American Heart Association. Care and arrangements have been entrusted to Greiner Funeral Home.
