Dora E Carpenter

 Dora Elizabeth Carpenter, 87, passed away surrounded by family on October 31, 2021. She was born December 18, 1933 in Terre Haute, Indiana, to Charles and Blanche Irving Myers.
Dora loved to cook big meals for her family. She loved to take care of her loving husband, grandkids, and great-grandkids. She loved her family. She enjoyed shopping, especially getting her allowance and going to Walmart. Dora loved her flowers and was quite the green thumb.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Carpenter; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters; and a son-in-law, Bob Milligan.
Dora is survived by four daughters, Marilyn Milligan of Indianapolis, Debbie "Jo" Elsberry (Jim) of Paris, IL, Glenda Rogers (Jim) of West Terre Haute and Lisa Linville (Keith) of Terre Haute. She is survived by one son, Bobby Carpenter of Terre Haute. She is survived by several grandsons, granddaughters and many great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Services for Dora are Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 1 pm in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47804. Visitation will be from 11 am until service time at the funeral home on Tuesday. Online condolences can be made at:
