Dorothy Ann Thomas

Dorothy Ann Thomas, 86, passed away May 8, 2024.  She was born July 13, 1937, in Terre Haute, Indiana to Samuel Thomas and Nellie Anna (Boothe) Thomas.  Dorothy was a member of Northside Wesleyan, where she was very active.  She retired from the Vigo County Public Library in the early 2000s after 40+ years of service.  She loved to read, craft and work puzzles.  She also wrote stories about a rascally squirrel named Tommy. She always had a smile on her face. She was kind and generous and cared deeply for her family and friends. Dorothy is survived by her brothers Samuel E. Thomas (Linda) and Raymond Roy Thomas; and nieces and nephews Jonathan L. Thomas (Judy), Daniel R. Thomas (Nancy), Joanna L. Thomas, Peggy D. Seeley (Paul), Judith A. Stegner, Andrew R. Thomas (Rebecca), Jeffrey A. Thomas (Erika), and Rachel J. Thomas.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother James R. Thomas Sr.; and nephews James R. Thomas Jr. and Kenneth W. Thomas.  Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 1:00p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home.  Pastor Adam Power will officiate.  A burial will follow in Highland Lawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
