Eva Smith Obituary

Eva Mae (Eveland) Smith “Eve”, 89, of Terre Haute, Indiana, formerly of Brazil, Indiana, passed away on April 28, 2021.  She was born October 13, 1931 to Marion Eveland and Edith (Hudson) Eveland-Robinson. Eve was the Co-Owner of the Shoe Barn in Brazil, Indiana.  She held membership with the Brazil Optimist Club.  Eve enjoyed shopping, playing cards, fishing, and mushroom hunting.  She also enjoyed spending time with her family.  Eve was preceded in death by her parents; husband Albert Smith; son-in-law Terry Bauer Sr.; and her sweet dog Angel.    She is survived by her daughters Sharon Bauer and Karen Garzolini, her husband Bud; brother Sarge Eveland; grandchildren Terry Bauer, his wife Jennifer, Justin Garzolini, his wife Mandy, Sean Garzolini, his wife Angela, Whitney Volkl, and her husband Andy; great grandchildren Zachary Bauer, Austin Bauer, Bryson Bauer, Brandon Higginbotham, Colton Higginbotham, Anthony Garzolini, Dominick Garzolini, Mia Garzolini, Ava Garzolini, Jase Garzolini, Eli Volkl, and Adelyn Volkl; and nephew Butch Eveland.  Eve also leaves behind her K-9 companion Bentley, whom she cherished.  In honoring Eve’s wishes, cremation has been chosen. Private services will take place at Clearview Cemetery in Brazil, Indiana.    The family would like to thank all of their family and friends for the out pouring of support they have received. They would also like to thank Elara Caring, for the care Eve received.  Care and arrangements have been entrusted to Greiner Funeral Home.
