Georgia A. (Thomson) Wright

Georgia A Thomson Wright, born December 12, 1940 in Terre Haute Indiana, passed away on February 7, 2025 in Indianapolis, IN. She was the daughter of Alex and Helen Thomson, who proceeded her in death, along with her husband Bill H Wright.  Georgia is lovingly remembered by her family,  son Jeff Wright and his wife Nancy of Indianapolis, her daughter Jill Gustafson, and  husband Tim, of Newbern NC. She was a proud grandmother, GiGi to Cameron Wright of Indianapolis and a loving friend of Dave Laycock of Terre Haute.  She was a graduate of Garfield High School in 1959, a proud Purple Eagle, where she formed many lifelong friendships. She attended Indiana State University. She was a member of the Oregon Baptist Church. A longtime leader of Brownies, Girl Scouts, and Cub Scouts. Later in life, she retired from the Hoosier Lottery. 

Georgia was creative, a very good cook and loved animals. She’ll be remembered as GiGi, cousin and friend to many, but most of all she will be remembered as our amazing Mother. To  honor her wishes, cremation has been chosen with no funeral services. We’d like to thank Greiner funeral Home  for handling the affairs.
