Gwendolyn M Choice

Gwendolyn M. Choice, 70, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away January 25, 2021.  She was born in Hammond, Indiana on October 21, 1950 to Willie Mardis Sr. and Henrietta Louise (Crutcher) Mardis.  Gwendolyn was a member at Shiloh Baptist Church.  She was an avid bowler.  She also enjoyed playing cards and BINGO.  Gwendolyn loved to take care of babies.  She was known for her cooking, especially her 7up pound cake, her family and everyone that had the opportunity to enjoy it, will miss it.  Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her husband John Choice; her parents; and her brother Curtis Mardis.  She is survived by her sons Marlon Watson (Lisa) and Brandon Smith; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings Willie Mardis (Barbara), Kathryn Burks (Melvin), Joyce Carter (Bruce), Delores Johnson (Marty), Cynthia White, Marilyn Tucker, and Wendell Mardis (Jackie); sister-in-law Faye Mardis; and best friend Carolyn Smith.  Funeral services are scheduled Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 2:00p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, 2367 7th Ave, Terre Haute, IN 47803.  Rev Michael Russell will officiate.  Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the church on Saturday, from 12:00p.m. until service time.  The family requests that masks be worn during the visitation and the funeral service.  Due to Covid 19 protocols and restrictions, social distancing will be encouraged. Friends and family are welcome during visitation time to share remarks.  Care and arrangements have been entrusted to Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804.
