Harley E. Denny

Harley E. Denny Sr., 74, of Terre Haute, passed away Wednesday January 20, 2021 in Union Hospital. Harley was born in Terre Haute on June 10, 1946 to James T. Denny and Gertrude Halderman Denny. He had worked for Columbia Records for over 11 years and at Indiana State University for 29 years. He enjoyed fishing especially with his children and grandchildren, remodeling his home and working in his yard. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Etta Littrell, grandchildren, Haley Mays and Heavenly Nasser, brother, James T. Denny and sisters; Patty McCullough, Lucille Chatman, Phillis Denny and Cindy Denny. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Denny of Terre Haute, sons; Harley E. Denny Jr., Steven Wayne Denny (Brandi), Jack Denny (Bev) John C. Hensley (Debbie), Paul A. Hensley (Valarie) . Three daughters , Kimberly L. Mays (Scott), Kaydee Denny and Tracy Hubbard also of Terre Haute. He is survived by one brother, Jeff Denny of Terre Haute and sisters; Etta Hoopingarner (Jerry), Darla Surber, Arlouine Hogue, Denna Baker (Bob) and Denise Swinefurth (Dave) all of Terre Haute. Grandchildren; Scott A Mays Jr. Olivia J. Mays, Kaylee (Bella) Mays, Tonya Littrell Harris, Brandon Hensely, Matt Denny, Emily Hayhurst, Harley Dawn Denny, Caden Denny, Jacob Denny, Mya Denny, Makaela Denny, Steve Denny Jr., Brody Denny, Josh Baugh, Daniella Baugh, Cyndee Nasser, Leslie Hensely, Ryan Michaels, Hannah Hensely, Nick Vasquez, Miranda Knight, Erica Fisher, Sara Wood. He is survived by many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Services are schedule for Wednesday January 27, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47804. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home on Wednesday. Burial will be at Highland Lawn Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at
