Harold Hathecock Obituary

Harold Windsor Hathecock was born on November 24, 1930 to Martha Washington Hathecock and Harold Hathecock Sr. in Terre Haute, Indiana.  Harold married Patricia McCallister on June 25, 1949.  They were married until her death in 2006.  They had one daughter Karen Hathecock Smith.  Harold has 2 sons David Whitaker of Terre Haute, Indiana and Christopher Wells of Hawaii.  One of Harold’s hobbies was boxing.  He boxed for the Golden Gloves.  He reconditioned old and used cars for most of his life.  He worked for Bob Moore’s Little Detroit until the lot closed.  He then got his own body shop until he retired.  Harold loved his work.  He would always say they are paying me to have fun.  Harold leaves behind to mourn him, 2 sons David Whitaker (Nicole) of Terre Haute, Indiana and Christopher Wells in Hawaii, one daughter Karen Hathecock Smith of Indianapolis, Indiana, 2 sisters Betty Smith of Indianapolis, Indiana and Fannie Uzzell of Terre Haute, Indiana.  He also leaves behind 4 grandchildren; Patrick Hathecock (Eboni) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Mariah Whitaker of Panama City Beach, Florida, David Whitaker II of Terre Haute, Indiana and Camari McKinney of Hawaii.  He has one great-grandson Windsor Patrick David Hathecock of Indianapolis, Indiana.  He would not want me to forget his very special caregiver, Angie Manual Lee. He is also survived by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends.   She gave him outstanding care until the quarantine prevented her from coming.  He always said she was a blessing.  Harold Windsor Hathecock entered eternal rest Friday, January 1, 2021 at Community North Hospital.  He was 90 years old.  When I come to the end of the road, and the sun has set for me, remember the love that we have shared and that will comfort me.  Private graveside services are scheduled at Stewart Lawn Cemetery.
