Henrietta Gustine (Clery) Whalen

Henrietta Gustine Whalen, 77, passed away October 11, 2021 in Riverview Hospital in Noblesville, Indiana. She was born November 10, 1943 in Terre Haute, Indiana to George L. Clery and Florence Konradt Clery. She was a member at St. Benedict Catholic Church. She loved to play board games, especially Uno, dice, and Parcheesi. She enjoyed watching Nascar racing, and watching Tiger Woods play golf. Henrietta also enjoyed scratch off lottery tickets, she had a bag of lucky coins she would always use to increase her odds of winning. She loved to spend time for her family and watch her grandkids play sports. She always had time to enjoy a beer with her granddaughter. Henrietta was very passionate about donating to charity, always giving what she could to help others. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of over 30 years, John L. Whalen (d. 7/7/2000), sisters; Mary Smith (Marion), Florence Orman (Paul), and Esther Clery (Ed Conley) nieces; Jeanette and Christina Smith. She is survived by daughters; Edna Ramkissoon, and Esther Biesen (Savannah Biesen) sons; John Whalen Jr., and Michael Whalen, sisters; Therese Orman (Milton) and Becky Clery (Margaret Clery) grandkids; Hope Torbert, Larry Swain Jr. (Amber) Dustyn White, Ciara Holbrook (Ashley Spivey), Bella Ramkissoon (Cameron Davis), Jessica Taylor, Zane Spivey, Kaelon Holbrook, Brycen Swain, Braylee Swain, and Braxton Swain, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, best friend, Judy Catterson, and friend, Jill Jones. Mass of Christian burial for Henrietta will be Monday October 18, 2021, in St. Benedict Catholic Church, 111 S. 9th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47807 at 12:05 pm. Visitation will be from 10 am until Mass at the church. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804 was entrusted with arrangements.
